We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday. This week’s meeting is on Wednesday, December 4, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the ISSI lounge, 405 Ell Hall.

This week’s Agenda:

– Meeting Schedule of the spring semester

– International Idol (leader recruitment)
– Tabling sign up

This will be the last meeting of the fall semester. Come and join us! Food and fun activities are waiting for you! We really appreciate your help in this semester and hope you will be successful on the final exams and enjoy your winter break!

Thank you for attending our ISSI Carnevale Committee meetings. This week’s meeting will be on Wednesday, November 6, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in ISSI Lounge, 405 Ell Hall.
Agenda for this week:
1.Breaking into small groups to discuss the following large events
  – Gala (Anis)
  – Fashion Show (Amirali)
  – Kick off (Danielle)
  – Ball (Lichao)
2.Homecoming
– ISSI banner decorating
– Announcement for Homecoming (wear your Northeastern gear, show your husky pride and win a prize)
Key notes for last meeting:  
1.Confirmed tagline and theme (A Passport to Northeastern, A Passport to the World)
2.Possibility of extended event proposal deadline, if no funding is required from SGA
3.New event proposals:

– Lunar New Year + Noodle Bowl (Dang, VSA)

Dear ISSI Carnevale Committee Members,

  
Hope you all had a great weekend! We experienced a great meeting last week, and hope we will generate more sparking ideas during this week’s meeting.
  
This week’s meeting is on Wednesday, October 30, at 5:30PM in 405 Ell Hall. In addition to ISSI Carnevale planning, we will also have a Halloween Cookie Decorating Party. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
  
  
Agenda for this week’s meeting:
  • More brainstorming – new events!
  • Confirming this year’s tagline and theme

The ISSI is still recruiting International Student Leaders (ISL) to help new international students during orientation in the spring semester. The application is still available until November 1st. The application can be found here.

The Second General Committee Meeting Tomorrow!

The 2nd meeting will be Wednesday, October 16 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at 405 Ell Hall, ISSI Lounge.  Get excited!  We’re having Breakfast for Dinner! It’s the ISSI Carnevale Pajama Planning Party Meeting.  Please feel free to wear your pajamas!  Appropriate attire, please.

At this meeting, we will cover the following agenda items:

I. Co-chairs present respective signature events

II. Amy Aitken and Chongpu Zhang present marketing/communication plan 

III. Describe possible past events that committee members can lead

IV. Allow committee members to sign up for teams

V. Remember:  Event Proposals are due November 1

VI. Next meeting:  THURSDAY,   OCTOBER 24 at 5:30 in Curry Student Center 318.

VII. Questions/Concerns

1ST committee meeting

First Planning/General Interest Meeting

Join us for our first planning/general interest meeting on October 9 at 5:30PM in 405 Ell Hall.  At this meeting, we will introduce the mission and goals of Carnevale 2014.  We will also begin recruiting participants to help plan the individual Carnevale events for the months of February and March.  And it wouldn’t be a Carnevale meeting without food and fun.  Join us if you are interested in helping out with one of the most celebrated programs of the spring semester.

Time: 5:30PM October 9

Location: The ISSI Lounge, 405 Ell Hall
